Yes she is still alive, no thanks to having been shot in the face. That she is alive does not change the fact that the intent of someone who shoots someone in the face is, in fact, to "assassinate" them.
At the time of my post, it had been reported that she had died. This is not a "news" blog, but is a commentary blog. You would be well advised to not rely on any blog to obtain your news.
